Hello

I'm an Acupuncturist, Aromatherapist, Fertility Coach and Qigong Instructor.

It's my passion to provide effective, safe and holistic treatments to my patients so they can achieve optimal health.

Work experience

I currently work privately at my private clinic and at Ashlins in Walthamstow E17.

I always had a strong desire to utilise my career to help people in the community. I made that possible by volunteering my time as an acupuncturist for a number of charitable causes and associations throughout London.

In October 2015, I opened my own community acupuncture practice, Dao Nu. With a sliding pricing scale, Dao Nu’s goal is to make acupuncture accessible for everyone. In 2018, my colleague Yein Chin joined me as a clinic partner, and since then we are still offering low cost, high quality acupuncture in the heart of Walthamstow E17.

My background

It is from my interest in Chinese martial arts and Qigong that my journey in Chinese medicine originated. I studied Chinese Martial arts in my early teenage years and have been practicing Qigong and internal alchemy for many years.

I learned different styles of Wushu including Nan Chuan, Chan Chuan, Shaoling and Wudan Gongfu. I also learned Faijing, an advanced form of self defence from Dave Verma, the creator of what it bacame Mara Combat. I was very lucky to be taught different Qigong practices and eventually met Barry Spendlove from whom I learned Taoist internal Alchemy in Wales.

During a trip to China where I lived and trained  in Wudan style Wushu and Qigong at the legendary Wudan mountains (the birthplace of Zhang Sanfeng, the creator of Taiji), I had a strong desire to consolidate all my practices and experiences of Chinese martial arts, for a solid knowledge in Chinese Medicine. So I decided to study a degree in Acupuncture.

Growing up in Mexico, learning about native healing herbs from my grandmother from a young age and traditional Mexican medicine from a Mazateca Indigenous Healer  later on in my life, has given me a strong foundation and interest in ancient healing arts.

Professional qualifications

After reading Media Sciences at the Universidad de las Americas Puebla (UDLAP) for my first degree, I worked in the media field for a few years. I then moved to the UK and decided to start a professional career in alternative medicine. I completed an advanced Diploma in Aromatherapy, Therapeutic Massage and Oriental Medicine at the ITHMA.

After my trip to China I decided to join the London College of Traditional Acupuncture where she completed the three-year degree and obtained a BSc (Hons) in Acupuncture.

Since then I have undertaken several CPDs and Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture workshops and specialized studies in different areas including: fertility and IVF, obstetrics, musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, psychoemotional and nutrition.

I have been studying under the renowned Master Tung practitioner Susan Johnson.

I am currently undergoing my specialisation in Chinese Herbs. I am doing an apprenticeship under the tuition of Frances Turner, a renowned Jing Fang specialist.
